Advanced search page options
Option Description

Description

Type a descriptive name for the layout. This name will not appear to users. It is selected from a list when setting the default navigation tool for repository views as described in Configuring repository views.

Min. autocomplete length

Type the minimum number of characters that must match the search properties.

Enable filtering on object tag name

For document views, allows the user to type a tag name to find all related documents.

Use form layout

Shows the search properties in a form layout instead of a grid layout. This option is not affected by the List all properties option. Only the properties in the search criteria list that are selected in the next step are shown.

List all properties

By default, users can only select from the properties that are specified in the search criteria list defined in the next step. Enabling this option allows users to select from all available properties similar to the List all properties option in the Meridian Enterprise PowerUser Find dialog.

Filter drop-down values (cascading)

Excludes values from lists that do not match the currently selected filter criteria. This makes the lists dependent on the other search criteria, also known as cascading value lists. This option is available only if the Use form layout option is enabled.
  1. Configure the search criteria list by adding criteria.

  1. To add a single criterion, click Add New. To add multiple criteria, click the arrow next to Add New, click Add Multiple, and continue as described in Selecting multiple properties. A new row appears in the criteria list for each property that you added.
  2. For each new property, select options in each column using the descriptions in the following table.
